Oh hello there…
My name is Tamsin, and I am the human inside of Tamsin Smyth Design. I am an illustrator, graphic artist and surface pattern designer living in the hills of Northern NSW, making myself happy by creating art with a sunny heart. I have learned that to be the best I can be for myself and everyone around me, including the planet, I have to make my own sunshine. Art is the best way I can do that.
Colours that sing, chubby shapes and flowers and animals you would like to meet, with a nostalgic twist, is how I might describe my designs. With a passion for folk art and the natural environment, my designs tend to come from my own backyard, my imagination and sometimes from dreams!
I hope that my art connects with that place inside us where things have innocence and light, that part of us that is in love with the world.
We can’t always have sunshine, so I want colour to transform your everyday; to cheer you on and cheer you up! To elevate your mood, or bring you calm. To inspire your imagination. The colours we are attracted to change as we grow, and are reflective of our inner world. I want you to celebrate your unique inner vision with colour and design that makes your heart sing.

OK that’s not everything, but I am a practical gal, and I want design to speak to usefulness, and ease. Whether it be a new design for a product being developed, an illustration for a children’s book, or a tea towel for your kitchen, I want my designs to bring ease into your life and tread lightly on the planet…
I am excited by products and textiles that have the health of the planet at their heart, and I only work with production partners who feel and do the same. Yay team!
