It’s Kitchen Game-on!

Hello colourful human bean !

August just passed me by in a flurry of travel and sewing, and there was a blue moon and Spring sprung while I wasn't looking! You may have already seen sneaky peeks on instagram, but I am super excited to share my latest creations with you.

Nan’s Pinny just got a makeover!

Nan had two kinds of aprons in our house when I was a kid, the half apron and the PINNY, which I guess stood for PINAFORE ? Back then the pinny was a full frontal armholes-and-all kind of pop-over thing, like they had at the CWA or tuckshop.

When i got the suggestion from a friend (thanks Suzi N!) to make aprons, I dug out my fave old barista bar apron which I used to wear folded over into half. I used it for everything including set-building and pottery! It was boring and dark brown, but now I have two snazzy new beautiful styles to share with you featuring Tamsin Smyth designer textiles.

This week we went to market!

It’s been a long time between markets for me, the Sample Food Festival was a lovely way to ease myself back into getting amongst it. Being a food festival it seemed like a match made in heaven to take along my new handmade tea towels, aprons and napkins.

I met some great humans and it re-energised my batteries being out at a community event, and supporting small businesses and local artisans. Looks like I might be doing a few more markets here in Northern NSW, so I'll let you know when I do.

Not my kid, I swear!

A bunch of new postcards have landed!

I am a huge fan of the rounded corner postcard of old. You can quickly send someone a message that you're thinking of them, without even bothering with an envelope! I would love to see a postcard in my mailbox…hint hint…so with that in mind I created a range with greetings ranging from Happy Birthday to Greetings from Australia.

Well, that's all the news that's fit to print as they say. Drop me a line to hello@tamsinsmyth.com anytime!

Have a brilliant September and see you at a market near you soon!

Love Tamsin x
