To market, to market jiggity jig

It was a real treat to meet some new human beans at the markets last month. I love meeting people who have an eye for colour, and come alive when drawn to pattern and textiles. I am the same.

And you know how much I vibe on sustainable fabrics and handmade… well it turns out so do other peops…yayeee.

Boyf came along for the ride, which was a treat for me because we used to marketeer together back in the early naughties. We had such a great day watching ‘Market TV’ as people wandered past and stopped in to have a look. Everyone felt so relaxed! It reminded me of why I love markets so much. It’s the vibe of the thing, and the North Coast does it so well.

The next day we got completely flooded out of our stall. You know when you just can’t get any wetter? By 1pm the Byron market was canned and we all dragged our bedraggled carcasses home to snuggle in our jim-jams, so thank the market goddess for the Saturday!

I will be popping my head up again at a few markets as we get close to the end of the year, so come along for a gifty shopping bonanza to funkify some loved ones’ kitchen game.

Pop these market dates into your calendar!

Saturday Dec 2 ~ Brunswick Heads Market

Sunday Dec 3 ~ Byron Market

Sunday Dec 10 ~ Lennox Head Market

Saturday Dec 16 ~ SALT Market on the Kingscliff foreshore (TBC)

Wednesday Dec 20, 3-9pm ~ Bruns Twilight Market in Banner Park opposite the Hotel Brunswick

It’s beginning to look a lot like…

But if you can’t make it to the markets, you can always head over here to grab a bundle while there’s still time.

Big Love

Tamsin xx
